The new 4* Marriott Courtyard luxury hotel is located in Oxford & comprises of 140 guest bedrooms, conferencing facilities, restaurant dining and leisure club. The new build project required a specialist contractor to assist in the design stages and deliver security and life safety in partnership with the M&E contractor.
The Challenge
Working in conjunction with other trades throughout the 14-month program and the construction phases presents operational challenges. Separately, the requirement to consult regarding ongoing technical development, product and performance changes requires flexibility.
The life safety standards are critical with an opening date reliant on the successful completion and handover of the fire system and integrated technology.
The Solution
Reflex designed, supplied and installed Access control, Fire detection, CCTV, Intrusion detection, personal attack alarm, disabled refuge, pager and intercom systems for the hotels security and life safety needs.
Reflex Soundpoint division also designed and installed the Bose distributed audio systems with zoned music and PA throughout the public areas, conferencing and leisure facilities.
The fire systems and Paging interfacing was latest generation Gent product which delivers exceptional performance with recognised low false alarm rates which is critical to building with 24/7-bedroom occupancy such as hotels.
