Anglian Water is one of the leading providers of water and waste water services in the UK.  Located in the east of England, it serves over five million industrial, commercial and domestic customers.

The Challenge

Maintaining security at key stages of the water treatment and supply process is critical to ensuring the delivery of clean, safe water supplies.  Upgrading and enhancing security at all facilities was a strategic aim within the organisations asset maintenance programme.

The Solution

Reflex, an accredited supplier to the Utilities industry, was chosen to supply, install and commission seismic detection and electronic access control in partnership with the main contractor and the manufacturer of the secure enclosures used on reservoir hatches.  Reflex helped to develop a detailed product specification, which involved the identification, sourcing and testing of suitable detection devices as well as alarm handling and remote transmission solutions.  Through a combination of application specific product selection, engineering skills and delivery expertise, Reflex have achieved seamless integration of both new and existing technologies.  Reflex’s policy of using a dedicated engineering team and project management, ensured consistency of site working practices, health and safety compliance and post commissioning support.

Overall Reflex’s commitment to the supply partnership has provided the customer with a dependable and reliable technology-based solution securing remote unmanned water supply facilities for around 500 installations across England.
