Total UK LLP provide premium oil products and services to business and consumers throughout the United Kingdom. The brand is recognised as one of the major oil and gas groups in the world and their Bitumen division is based in Preston, Lancashire.
Reflex have been working closely with Total for several years including large scale petrochemical facilities in multiple locations in the UK.
The Challenge
The site security management had a need to undertake a CCTV upgrade at their Bitumen facility in Preston; that would provide flexibility and scalability for planned site development. The IP camera system would need to be high performance and incorporate latest generation video analytics software.
The Solution
Working with the customer we provided technical site surveys, software demonstrations and product evaluation opportunities to establish which of our leading product choices would most suit their current and future needs. Our technology partner IndigoVision was chosen as a leading British systems security software developer with strong AI and analytics as well as a broad choice of camera technologies.
Our design introduced a total of 34 cameras, some multi-sensory models that combine several high-resolution cameras in to a single device and several 360-degree fish eye. The advanced analytics can be used for intelligent detection of pre-determined alarm events and therefore deliver increased efficiency for system users.
The combination of these high-performance cameras and the flexible and intuitive software allowed to meet the customer needs fully. Our transmission solutions meant that we were able to fully utilise existing fibre and cable networks.
