Plytek is a specialist vehicle conversion and enhancement company that provides high-quality fit-out and protection solutions for commercial vehicles and pickups.

Plytek’s services include vehicle lining, storage systems, hard-top canopies, fleet preparation, and bespoke vehicle conversions, helping businesses maximise the performance, practicality and longevity of their vehicles.

As the business has continued to grow, Plytek has expanded its operations to include a purpose-built commercial vehicle storage facility in Nottinghamshire, capable of accommodating several hundred vehicles. Protecting these valuable assets while supporting efficient day-to-day operations became a key priority.

The Challenge

With the expansion of its vehicle storage operations, Plytek required a security solution capable of providing comprehensive surveillance across a large, largely unmanned site.

The solution needed to deliver complete perimeter and site coverage while accurately identifying genuine security threats without generating unnecessary false alarms. It also had to support remote monitoring and integrate seamlessly with Plytek’s existing business network, despite limited telecommunications infrastructure at the site.

The Solution
Reflex Systems designed and installed an AI-enabled CCTV solution that delivers intelligent, monitored surveillance across the entire vehicle storage facility, ensuring complete visibility at all times.

For this project, we:

  • Installed strategically positioned heavy-duty surveillance columns and additional cameras to provide complete site and perimeter coverage
  • Deployed the latest generation 5MP AI-enabled cameras with intelligent analytics, including intrusion detection, virtual tripwire monitoring, loitering detection and intelligent zone management
  • Integrated live audio challenge functionality, enabling the remote monitoring centre to issue real-time warnings when suspicious activity is detected
  • Engineered a resilient communications solution that securely connects the remote site to Plytek’s existing business network, providing reliable remote monitoring and management.

The completed solution provides Plytek with a secure, scalable surveillance platform that protects hundreds of commercial vehicles while delivering complete visibility across the site.
