Located close to the Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire border, Lindrick is over 130 years old and is one of Britain’s finest inland golf courses. In 1957 the club also became one of an elite number of courses to host the Ryder Cup. Over the years Lindrick has hosted many prestigious events and from 2008 to 2012 Lindrick was used as a venue by the R&A for a regional qualification event for the Open Championship, and for the last three years of qualifying a score of par was sufficient for players to advance to the next qualification stage, evidence of the stiff challenge presented by the course.
The R&A returned to Lindrick in 2022 for Regional Qualifying following record entries for the 150th Open Championship being held at the Home of Golf. This year Lindrick has played host to the R&A Regional Open Qualifying and also, the R&A Boys and Girls Home Internationals seeing England Girls win the girls section, Ireland Boys win the boys sectional and England win the overall trophy.
The Challenge
Maintaining safety and privacy for members and visitors, protecting assets and preventing unauthorised access to restricted areas as well as elevating their all-round site security.
The Solution
Reflex have recently installed a latest generation cloud based electronic access control system. This now provides the club administration the ability to manage the system securely from anywhere in the world via a simple to use web browser interface.
Whilst the access control readers incorporate card reader technology and keypads, the entry exit readers can now make use of smartphones or smartwatches in place of traditional fobs/cards when using the free mobile app which is available for both Ios AND Android platforms. The club is also able to create and issue temporary access rights via mobile credentials for visitors , special events suppliers and casual staff. The system is capable of expanding up to 50,000 users and has the facility to integrate video management and rollcall/muster reporting amongst other modules thus ensuring the Client is future proofed and the system can grow to match the Clients requirements over time. This solution has also offered enhanced management and reporting capabilities as well as vastly improving the overall experience for both members and visitors whilst affording the Client enhanced site security.
