World of Golf

The Challenge

Set in 22 acres and one of the largest leisure developments of its kind, World of Golf is a showcase £2.5 million specialist golf facility in Scotland.  Boasting magnificent views of the Old Kilpatrick Hills and close to local amenities in the centre of Glasgow, it is easy to see why more than 600 visitors a day are attracted by the site.  The developer was keen to ensure reliable integration of CCTV, access control, and perimeter detection.  All this had to be achieved whilst providing added value by satisfying the needs of more than just security, with the inclusion of IP addressable camera images.

The Solution

Reflex consulted closely with the developer to provide an integrated solution based on the use of high performance low-light colour cameras throughout, in order to combat any variable light level problems.  Door status monitoring for all perimeter doors and fire exits was also interfaced into the control and recording equipment, automatically triggering fully functional cameras to view these areas on preset tours ensuring real time visual management.  The site also promotes corporate hospitality and access to the four conference facilities was provided via a swipe card system which delivered both a secure environment for conference users, and also contributed to health and safety requirements. A network interface unit was incorporated into the design to provide European owners with the ability to access all systems and remotely view and control the CCTV cameras from anywhere in the world at any time.
