The Challenge

Thistle hotels identified a requirement for upgrade works at two landmark London hotels – Thistle Royal Horseguards and Thistle Charing Cross. The company also owns Number 1 Whitehall Place, which adjoins the Royal Horseguards Hotel, and houses The Liberal Club. This property was also subject to a review as part of the Horseguards contract. At all three sites, Reflex had previously laid down the necessary infrastructure to complete the upgrade works with minimum disruption and as cost-effectively as possible.  In response to a heightened state of awareness, the CCTV systems in particular would come under scrutiny for an upgrade.

The Solution

Reflex added to and enhanced the existing technologies with digital recording and playback capability. The entire system is network-enabled to the same standard as airport type security systems. The hotel now has extremely high quality image recording and playback capability, with the ability to retrieve information instantly through a smart searching interface. Law enforcement agencies can quickly and easily gain access to the network and the recorded footage if necessary.
