The Challenge

Dyson needed to secure a substantial, remote industrial site in the north of England. A primary consideration was the need for comprehensive and reliable perimeter detection, without the need to employ on-site 24 hour manned guarding.  A BS8418 compliant system would ensure that physical man-guarding could be removed without any reduction in the levels of safety or security onsite but also guarantee a qualified police response through verified alarms.

The Solution

As one of only a few companies accredited by NSI to install CCTV with alarms and issue BS8418 certification, Reflex was required to provide a solution that met the stringent design and technical performance requirements set out in this new industry standard.  Strategically located cameras were combined with the use of sophisticated detection devices, for both internal and external areas. In line with the standard, the customer was also provided with BS8418 accredited remote monitoring of cameras and alarms.
